Customer Relations
An avid mountain bike rider and not too shabby on the road either. Jane raced cyclocross and duathlon 2007-08, XTERRA off-road triathlon 2008-09, and she shares the 2009 Georgia "Dirty Spokes 12-hour Mountain Bike Race" series champion title with her 3 relay teammates. Her enthusiasm for the sport of riding is why she's here at Conte's and wants to share her knowledge and passion with every customer.

Web Guru
Dan is our web designer.  He loves to ride as much as possible, he love Portland and drams of living there one day.  He also loves cyclocross.  Road racing used to be fun, but cross is where it's at.  This past season was his first foray into the Masters 35+ category and he got his butt kicked.  Maybe next year will be a bit better.

Jansen is the "old soul" part time wrench and full time cyclist. Don't let his smile and shy demeanor fool you, he can ride with the best of them - on and off the road. Jansen finished 2nd place, 13-14 year old age group at the 2009 USA Cycling Mountain Bike National Championship in Granby, Colorado.

Store Engineer, Sales and Marketing
Roadie with some part time Mountain and a little CX for good measure.  With his father being an ex-racer in NY, bikes run in his blood.  His dad introduced him to cycling and racing at the Athens Twilight Crits as a young kid.  He competed in his first BMX race sometime around 13 and never looked back.  Life and two wonderful kids later, he finally came back to racing in 08, and joining CTown Racing in 09.   Club rides, BRAG, RAGBRAI, and CNC make up the summer schedule with races now being fit in to spare weekends here and there.  One of the original flunkies helping to get the store up and running, he now fills in any role be it part time wrench to selling a computer or bike.

Trent Spake
Trent's love for triathlons started in his late 20's. Within 13 month of buying his first bike, he completed his 1st of 2 Ironman triahtlons. He jumped at the opportunity of being a partner in a local bike shop to share the thrill of the sport with others in the community and to fuel his own passion for endurance sports. When he's not hanging out with his wife or chasing his two young kids around, he can be seen competing in triathlons, Xterras, Cyclocross races, and tons of local running events. Outside of the bike shop, he has a career with a large insurance and risk management firm.

Owner
One of the owners and the original brainchild, was tired of driving to the north side of Atlanta for a tune-up and thought he should open a bike shop. He is a full time/year-round CTown racer who competes in triathlons (completed first Ironman in 2009- Louisville), Xterra events, mtb events, 5Ks, anything with a darn finish line- his main passion is promoting cycling and running within the local community. BT is especially passionate about promoting healthy activities with the youth in the area. "I believe we have a major epidemic in the US, that really is worse here in the South than other parts- Obesity and lack of exercise. Our lifestyles have changed drastically over the last 50-100 years. To make a cultural shift within our community, we have to start with the children." You will find him at one of the regular shop/C4 rides or at one of many local races on the weekend, look for the CTown trailer!
